How to meet the English language requirements for a partner visa

Evidencing your English language skills to a specified level is an essential part of most immigration applications, and applying to enter or remain in the UK as a partner is no exception. Failing to prove your English language skills to the relevant level will likely lead to the refusal of your application.

Can I Visit the UK if I Have a Criminal Conviction?

A criminal record has always had a potential impact on a foreign national’s ability to enter and live in the UK. However, from January 2025 it becomes a whole lot more significant for a large percentage of the global population, as citizens of most countries (except for EU / EEA members, for whom the change will happen in April 2025) will need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to visit the UK.

Right to work checks – everything an employer needs to know

All employers in the UK must conduct a right to work check prior to an employee commencing employment to prevent illegal working. If an employer is found to be employing workers who do not have the right to work in the UK, employers can face a civil penalty of £45,000 per illegal worker for a first breach; and £60,000 per illegal worker for repeat breaches.
